I think I used every tool in my gun box before I hit on one dental pick that was skinny enough to get in there, push the detent back, and let the lever slide in enough to capture everything so I could remove the pick and let the right side of the lever slip home. If it's too big, the right side of the lever will hit your tool and not fit into place. The tool you use to push the detent out of the way has to fit into a small gap as you put the lever together to be able to capture everything. That was a giant pain in the dick to get seated. while you're also pushing the detent spring out of the way so the lever can slip into position. There's a little notch or hole on the inside of the right side of the lever that the coil spring has to capture into. The hardest part, though, wasn't those springs, it was seating the right side of the lever onto the coil spring that returns the lever to the up position when released.
I got myself a big clear plastic bag and did all my work inside the bag just in case one decided to launch. It's not terrible, but you are correct that the spring loading in the 92's safety/decocker is a pain in the arse and the springs and plungers WILL enter orbit if you give them half a chance. I figure I'll put a sheet over my head and the gun when I do this to contain the parts
The 'G' decocker kit is way more daunting due to the spring loaded detents under the levers on each side.
